Terms of Service

Version 2026-10-23. These terms apply to every use of CAD2Drawing.

1. Who we are

CAD2Drawing is a service of Symge B.V., Anthonetta Kuijlstraat 49-B, 3066 GS Rotterdam, the Netherlands (KVK 42034834, VAT NL869407314B01). You can reach us at contact@symge.nl.

2. The service

CAD2Drawing reads the STEP models you upload and generates 2D technical drawings from them, which you can view in your browser and download as PDF, DXF, SVG, PNG and GLB files. It also reads the 2D drawings you upload and builds 3D models from them, which you can download as STEP and STL files. We may improve and change the service over time. We aim for it to be available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

3. Your account

You sign in with a Google or Microsoft account. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping that sign-in secure. You must be at least 16 years old, and if you use the service for a company you confirm that you may accept these terms on its behalf.

4. Credits and payment

  • Drawings are paid for with credits. A new account receives 1,500 free credits once.
  • The credits a drawing costs are reserved when it starts and taken when it is made. A drawing that fails on our side, or one you cancel before it starts, is not charged. A drawing you stop after it has started is charged.
  • Reading a model, viewing it and downloading your drawings again are free.
  • Credit packs are one-off purchases at the prices shown on the pricing page, including VAT where it applies. Payment is handled by Stripe. Credits do not expire and cannot be exchanged for money.
  • Feedback credits, where offered, are a goodwill gesture; we may change or end that offer at any time and may withhold them in cases of abuse.
  • If you buy as a consumer in the EU you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for credit packs. By buying, you ask us to make the credits available immediately; the right of withdrawal ends for the credits you have used. For unused credits of a pack bought within the last 14 days you can ask for a refund through the contact details above.

5. Your models and drawings

You keep all rights to the models and drawings you upload and to everything made from them. You give us only the permission we need to store and process them to provide the service to you. We do not use your files to train any model, and we share them only with the providers that process them for us, named in the privacy notice. Files are kept for 7 days after upload unless you delete them sooner; the privacy page explains the details.

Uploading a file and having it processed is your decision and your responsibility. By uploading it you confirm that you are legally allowed to: whoever owns it, such as your employer or a customer, permits it, and no confidentiality agreement, export-control rule or other law forbids it. We do not check this and take no responsibility for a file uploaded without that right. If you use the service for a business and someone makes a claim against Symge B.V. because of a file you uploaded, you indemnify us for that claim and for the reasonable cost of defending it.

6. Drawings are drafts

A generated drawing, and a 3D model built from a drawing, is a draft for you to check. It follows ISO or ASME drafting conventions, but it is not certified as compliant with any standard. Before a drawing is used for manufacturing, purchasing or any other purpose, a competent person must check it against the model and the requirements and approve it. Until you specify them, material, tolerances and similar requirements are marked NOT SPECIFIED on the sheet.

7. Fair use

Do not use the service unlawfully, upload files you have no right to, try to break or overload it, get around its limits or security, or create accounts to collect free credits. We may suspend or close an account that does, and we may withhold credits obtained that way.

8. Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability towards you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event that caused the damage, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage such as lost profit, production loss or the cost of parts made from an unchecked drawing. This does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited.

9. Ending the use

You can stop using CAD2Drawing at any time. Delete your models and drawings in the workspace, or your whole account from the account menu: that deletes your models, drawings and personal details at once, and the credits left on it are lost. We may end the service with reasonable notice; in that case we refund credits bought and not used.

10. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms and the privacy notice. When we do, their version changes and we ask you to read and accept the new version before you go on using the service. Until you accept it you cannot upload models, make drawings or buy credits; you can delete your account instead.

11. Law and disputes

Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in Rotterdam, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to go to the court where you live.

12. Language

These terms are written in English. Where they are shown in another language, the translation is for your convenience and the English text applies.
